Job Summary:
Masuda's Cafe is a Halal brunch café in Amherst, MA, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a South Asian fusion. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing a variety of baked goods from scratch, a strong understanding of baking techniques, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
 

• Prepare and bake a variety of items including pastries, breads, muffins, and specialty desserts according to cafe recipes.
• Follow daily production schedules and ensure timely preparation of all baked goods.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen area.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering baking ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards in presentation and taste.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate preparation and service times.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with developing and testing new menu items.

• Prior professional baking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours, including weekends.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently.
