Slateworks: Painting and Engraving

Description

The Burnett Art Gallery in Jones Library, 44 Amity Street, Amherst, presents “Slateworks” by Margaret Lloyd, The exhibition features watercolor paintings embedded in repurposed, fashioned slate, as well as pieces engraved directly onto the stone. The majority of these works are inspired by the Welsh and Celtic historical and cultural imagery. The exhibit will be on view from December 2nd to December 30th. An opening with the artist will take place on Thursday, December 6th from 5-8 (Amherst Arts Nights Plus).
