On Saturday July 14, the 1794 Meetinghouse presents Sarah Clay & The Magic Band. As part of an annual summer concert series at this historic venue, vocalist and flutist Sarah Clay breathes new life into American songs of the early 20th century: Swing, Blues, Bossa Nova and Latin Jazz. Clay leads The Magic Band, comprised of Bob Ferrier (guitar), Steve Bulmer (bass) and Ed Brainerd (flugelhorn). “These guys are the best – fabulous jazz musicians!” says Clay. “With just a glance, a gesture, we share ideas wordlessly, sparks fly, and the music is transformed. Simply magical. That’s why I call them The Magic Band. So much fun – we have a blast, and so will you!”
