The Drake is more than a music venue - from dance to comedy, spoken word to stage, open mic nights to local story-telling, The Drake is the region's premier gathering place for the cross-cultural exchange of the arts - a place where the cultural and artistic richness of our communities can be lifted up, expanded, and embraced.
This event will feature the Downtown Amherst Foundation as our local non-profit, to build and create culture, beauty, and programming in Downtown Amherst that ensures a thriving, beautiful and diverse cultural college community.

Join us for our monthly night of networking with fellow business, community, and civic leaders and decision-makers from across the Amherst area. Our May After 5 at The Drake - Downtown Amherst's new live music venue - is presented by Amherst College and benefits the burgeoning arts center through the Downtown Amherst Foundation.
The Talent: A Little Bit on Grayson Ty
Western Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Grayson Ty has mastered the art of vulnerability. Entirely unpretentious, his stage presence is easy, genuine, and unguarded. In an era of so much disconnection and artifice, Grayson brings audiences together with his honest, heartfelt lyrics, and soulful, soothing voice. Following a sold-out release show for his debut EP Believe, Grayson has shared the stage with American Idol winner Nick Fradiani, Heather Maloney (Signature Sounds), and Crystal Bowersox (American Idol runner-up) among others.
