Julius Lester's Day of Tears
Description
Join us on Saturday, October 12 at 2:30pm for a special event honoring Julius Lester. The afternoon will include a stage reading based on Lester's novel Day of Tears. Adapted by Laurie Maria Cabral, the performance will include an introduction by Lester's daughter Lian Amaris. Selections from the Julius Lester Papers housed in Special Collections will be on display and a reception will follow the performance.
